Glass guards at office mezzanines, atriums, and interior overlooks — engineered to code, finished to match.

Glass guards keep stairs, mezzanines, and overlooks open and light without compromising code-required guard performance. We install frameless base-shoe, post-and-rail, and standoff-mounted systems and coordinate cap rails and handrails to match adjacent finishes.
Every guard is engineered to the project's code requirements for load and glass type.
Guards are an engineering scope, not a glass scope. We provide stamped engineering for the base-shoe attachment, glass make-up, and load path so the GC's structural engineer can sign off without back-and-forth.

Glass guards preserve the architectural openness of a feature stair or mezzanine.
Code-compliant
Tempered or laminated guard glass and engineered base shoes meet applicable load requirements.
Finish-matched
Cap rails, handrails, and brackets coordinate with surrounding wood, stone, and metal.

Frequently asked
Tempered or laminated guard glass?
Code and exposure drive the choice. Many interior guards use laminated-tempered to retain the panel if breakage occurs.
Can the cap rail be omitted?
Some base-shoe systems allow a no-cap configuration, depending on the engineered load path and code.
Do you handle the handrail too?
Yes — custom handrails, brackets, and wall-returns are included in the guard scope.
