Preconstruction & Installation

Field measurement, system selection, shop drawings, fabrication, hardware prep, delivery, and install — one team accountable from design assist through punch list.

Overview

Glass scopes succeed or fail in preconstruction. We engage early — during design development or shortly after — to verify field conditions, review the architectural drawings, recommend systems against the acoustic and performance targets, and produce the shop drawings the fabrication shop will build from.

Fabrication, hardware prep, delivery, and installation are all coordinated in-house so the team building the work is the team that designed and detailed it.

We earn our keep in preconstruction. Engaging during design development lets us catch acoustic mismatches, structural conflicts with the ceiling grid, hardware-vs.-access-control conflicts, and lead-time risk before they become RFIs and change orders.

Why it matters

Single accountable team

Design, fabrication, and installation are managed by one team — no finger-pointing between trades.

Early-stage value

Engaging in preconstruction prevents costly field changes and missed coordination.

BIM/CAD ready

Drawings integrate cleanly with the architectural BIM model and contractor coordination process.

End-to-end project support

Project highlights

Anonymized examples of recent work in this category.

Design-assist engagement

Brought in at DD for a multi-floor headquarters; flagged three acoustic-vs.-door conflicts before construction documents were issued.

Multi-floor rollout

Consistent detailing across five floors of a corporate fit-out, single shop-drawing set, phased install over six months.

Custom feature stair

Fabricated and installed a one-off curved-glass guard around a feature stair, coordinated with the structural steel package.

Systems we work with

We work from manufacturer CAD/BIM resources for platforms like Fallbrook and Fallbrook XL to coordinate design-through-installation on each project.

Frequently asked

When should you be brought into a project?

Ideally during design development. Early involvement lets us flag acoustic, structural, and coordination issues before they're locked into the drawings.

Do you provide shop drawings for permit and coordination?

Yes — full shop drawings, glass-size takeoffs, and hardware schedules are part of standard preconstruction.

Can you self-perform installation?

Yes — fabrication, delivery, and installation are all in-house. One team is accountable from drawing through punch list.
